The High Country Inn was established in 1986 by the Biggs family and in December 2018 Tanya Mills-Eby and Mike Eby took ownership. For over 35 years the Inn has been the choice of many satisfied work crews and guests.

High Country Inn is situated on the sunny side of the valley wall overlooking the quaint rural community of Likely, BC. The 12 unit motel is a multi-level building of masonry construction. Our well maintained rooms come with satellite TV, internet, fridge and all the comforts one would need after a long day at work or traveling.

We specialize in providing Room and Board for small to medium size crews. The parking lot has electrical plug-ins and ample parking for cars and work trucks. There is wheelchair access

to the restaurant and rooms at the back entrance of the restaurant.

Some crews have weather permitting work sometimes giving the motel last minute openings.

Due to this, we will be happy to take your contact information and put you on our

cancellation list if we have no availability when you call to book with us.

On June 19, 2020 the Canada Post outlet was moved to the High Country Inn and it became operational June 22, 2020.

City Quality In The Country

Most rooms come with 2 double beds, 1 room has 1 queen bed. All rooms have their own private bathroom, satellite TV, phone, free wifi, fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Tea kettles are available upon request.

We offer special rates for room and board: can include breakfast, packed lunch, buffet style dinner.

The area reflects a fascinating era with many original historic artifacts and sites on the famous Gold Rush Trail such as Quesnel Forks, Likely Museum, and the back road to Barkerville.
We are situated at the end of Quesnel Lake, a very popular recreation destination.
The lake is glacial fed, 137 km long with 523 km of interesting shoreline wrapped around 30,255 hectares of water.

In addition to this impressive lake, there are over 148 small lakes within a 36 km radius of the inn, as well as

 internationally renowned fly fishing rivers.

Along the river's edge is a general store for anything you may have forgotten to bring with you.  Gasoline is also available at the general store.
